English Drama Task (Mrs. Taki's Part)
Principal : What is it?
Mr.
Sugi : It’s about my class’ Ozaki
Sayuri score. Seem like the answer she wrote and the answer she got back were
different.
Mrs.
Taki : That’s right, Ozaki also told
her problem to me. She said that she remember her answer and she believes that
it different.
Principal : I know. You’re saying I changed it.
Mr.
Sugi : No, not changed.
Mrs.
Taki : I’m sorry, Sir, but we know
that few days ago you asked all of the answer sheets. You said that you will
correct it. So, it means that you know the real result. We didn’t try to
accused you.
Principal : Why would I do such a thing? That’s
sad, that you would think such thoughts of me.
Mr.
Sugi : No. There really is a
chance of stopping the closing, right?
Principal : Of course. And I have to do my best to
convince the school board.
Mr.
Sugi : I leave it to you.
***
Takasugi : Principal, did you change Ozaki’s
answer? The Ozaki’s problem couldn’t solve was solving with the
addition/subtraction method. The answer was x=0 and y=7. But Ozaki wrote the
answser by rolling her pencil. Her pencil only has 6 sides. It meaning that
there are only 6 possible answers from 1 to 6.However, the answer was 0 and 7.
There’s no way Ozaki could have gotten it right. Isn’t that right, principal?
Principal : Yes…
Mrs.
Taki : Really? It’s impossible, I can
believe it! Are you serious, Sir?
Yoshida : That’s awful. Why would you do that?
Principal : I didn’t want the student’s efforts to
have been in vain. I didn’t want them to be disappointed. I didn’t do it for
me. It was to avoid closing the school. I did it for students. Mr. Sugi, you
know how I feel, right? Yes, I did add points to her grades. But that just one problem. Just 5 points.
Mrs.
Taki : Don’t you think what all of the
students feeling? What a shame…
Irie :
Just one problem? Just 5 points? A crime is a crime. What you did can’t be
forgiven?
Kusaka : What are you going to do?
Yoshida : We have to let everyone know the
truth.
